I'm wife to my Excellent Husband Rob of 23 years and mom to three children: Sam (22), Dave (21), and John (20), who I homeschooled for 13 years. We live with seven free ranging chickens and many labs, who we foster for the Seeing Eye.  I love Jesus and I love studying God's word.

Our home is not huge. It's furnished with lots of tasteful yard sale finds and hand-me-downs. We love to cook and eat, but you'll find my food photos are not professional by any means, and I just can't bring myself to write long posts about a dish I enjoy. When I look for recipes online I generally just scroll directly to the instructions, so I thought being brief might be helpful if you, too, just want to get right to cookin'!

I don't take old furniture pieces and restore them. I can't decorate a cake to save my life. I don't teach Bible studies. I don't know a thing about hair, nails, or makeup. No super mom  skills here. At all. Mostly we're a regular family - just like yours!

My hobbies include: spending time in the Word of God and getting to know Him personally; taking care of my beautiful family; writing; cooking and baking from scratch; raising puppies; reading; spending time in the outdoors; playing racquetball with my excellent husband; sewing and knitting; being hospitable and helping others.
