I feel like with my first post in the “beauty” section that it’s important to share my opinion on what beauty is. When I give gals makeup lessons, I start by saying that my philosophy on makeup is that it is meant to be fun. It shouldn’t be something you can’t leave the house without putting on or something you aren’t pretty without. You are stunning just the way you are. Truly. All your freckles, scars, imperfections make you you. They tell your beautiful story.
Thanks to social media we are surrounded every day by picturesque things, pretty homes, amazing places and gorgeous people, all flawless and perfect. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and feel like you will never measure up. But if you take a step back and really look at yourself, inside yourself, you will find a treasure worth far more than rubies. And this, my darling friend, is beauty.
“You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.“ Song of Songs 4:7 This is how God sees you. He knows all the good, all the bad, and all the ugly and He still declares you flawless and altogether beautiful. I hope that you too can see that in yourself.
I’m excited to be on this journey with you as we play and have fun and learn about this massive world of beauty and all it’s facets. Let the journey begin.
