Where's Your Final Destination?

Most of us have taken a trip in our lives, even if just a day trip. There are some basic steps we take when preparing for a trip. Likely the most important of these is the final destination. It's good to know where you're going before you get there!

Once you know your destination you have to plan a way to get there. Do you need a boat, plane, or train? Decide the means by which you will arrive at your destination, then, of course, buy your ticket.

Preparing for the afterlife is much the same. Where would you like your destination to be? If your choice is Heaven (and I highly recommend it!) you'll have to find a way to travel because no boat, plane, or train goes there.

The ticket to Heaven is so expensive there isn't a person on earth who could afford it. John 14:6 tells us Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me." We could never afford the ticket to Heaven. But Jesus has great news! He paid, in full, the price for our ticket! By trusting in Him, we can get our ticket free of charge.

My hope is that we will all prepare well for our journey. Our service to God, attitudes, behavior, and witnessing will help prepare our hearts.

Let's pack our bags!
